Fledgelings Easter service and egg hunt
Tuesday 30th March. Starting at the normal time of 1.45pm there will be a short service in the church to celebrate Easter followed by an Easter egg hunt in the grounds (weather permitting). Children will be able to decorate hard boiled eggs and a special Easter visitor might have some chocolate eggs in her basket........
The church will be open again then so Easter will be particularly special as we will be able to have our first service back in the newly renovated church!
For £1.50 per family Fledgelings provides:
Good quality toys and equipment for all pre-school ages regularly updated.
Craft every week suitable for 3 - 5 year old (but younger children join in).
Singing with musical instruments and story time.
Drink and biscuit for the children and tea/coffee for adults
Regular events with refreshments including ice-creams and cream teas during the summer and lunch at the Christmas party.
Any profit goes to charity:
- The St James’ Church Conservation Fund
- Sending poor township children to pre-school in Kimberley, South Africa (half of your £1.50 goes straight to this project)
- Away From It All (through our donations to the Mothers’ Union)
- Christian Aid
